CONS: I've got the printed version of "Sister Holmes", my Viz one-shot, and will be selling it at cons. I'll be at Otherworlds Zine Fair on Sat 11 July, SMASH! on Sun 12 July with the Sydney Anime Club (table 4L.14) and doing a panel at 2-3pm about building Community Artists. I'll be at Canberra Geek Expo at 18-19th July, and Manly Zine Fair on the 25th July. See the sidebar for the shows I'm going to.
COMPETITIONS/NEXT MANGA: I'm pausing my work on "Sunset Protocol" to submit to a new manga competition (59 pages), and I'm close to the end, with about 16 pages of backgrounds to do. I'm slow as heck because I've been sick for the past week, and coughing real bad. But I'll make the deadline. Still stuck on the last 10 pages (of 40) left to do on Chapter 2 (of 12) of "Sunset Protocol", I'll post the final pages of Chapter 1 on Instagram and my other social media.
AWARDS: In April, I won the Spirit of Zelda Award, from the Zelda Awards, which celebrates women in comics. It's in the category of +10 years in the biz, so thank you to everyone who voted for me! Congratulations to all the winners too! Watch the ceremony on Youtube. Meanwhile, "The Dreaming" v1-2 has also been listed on the NSW Premier Reading Challenge list! These lists are screened and once you get on, you don't go off, so hopefully I use get onto the reading lists of other states too.

Zelda Fanfiction: I’ve finished all 312 pages of this last week, and I’m toning chapter 8-11 these next few weeks. As of now, this series is being serialised on DeviantArt, MangaFox, SmackJeeves, Archive Of Our Own, and Tumblr. I’ll be posting chapter 5 up next week, since I finished chapter 4 this week.

Zelda Fanfiction: Believe it or not, I have finished all 312 pages of my 11-chapter Zelda fanfiction, in the space of 7 months. Chapters 7-11 has yet to be toned, so I’ll be doing that in February, but it’s a startling improvement in speed compared to conventional manga/comics. Previously, I could only produce a 180-page book in 7 months in pure manga form, but I can double the output within the same period of time, while doubling the amount of story expressed with a prose/manga mix. If that 312 pages was in manga form (rather than a mix of manga and prose), I estimate the story would have taken at least 3 books (ie. 540 pages) to tell, and 3 years of actual work time.
I realise I haven’t posted chapter 3 on my blog yet, though I’m nearing the end of chapter 4. As of now, this series is being serialised on DeviantArt, MangaFox, SmackJeeves, Archive Of Our Own, and Tumblr. I’ll be posting chapter 4 up here shortly.

Hi everyone! My next book Small Shen (from Harper Collins Voyager), will be out in Australian bookstores this month! I was super-excited when I got this book – the art was printed on high quality paper, and it just looks fabulous. As you can see from these pictures below, the book is a mix between prose and comics.
This is a collaboration with best-selling author Kylie Chan, and includes a free song (book soundtrack!) by my friend and long-time collaborator Yunyu, called Butterflies, that can be downloaded from a link at the back of the book.
The song ‘Butterflies’ by Yunyu will be delivered via QR tag, with instructions, at the back of the book.
