CONS: I've got the printed version of "Sister Holmes", my Viz one-shot, and will be selling it at all the upcoming cons in June/July. I'll be at Supanova at the weekend of 19-21st June, and a bunch of one-day shows in July. See the sidebar for the shows I'm going to.
COMPETITIONS/NEXT MANGA: I'm pausing my work on "Sunset Protocol" to submit to a new manga competition (59 pages), and I'm halfway through. This is the hardest part of the job, but I'm on schedule. Still stuck on the last 10 pages (of 40) left to do on Chapter 2 (of 12) of "Sunset Protocol", the supernatural mystery-thriller and quasi-sequel to "The Dreaming", but I've temporarily paused this for a manga contest entry due in July. I'm close to finishing posting Chapter 1 on Instagram and my other social media, and after that I'm going to cut back o this for work.
AWARDS: In April, I won the Spirit of Zelda Award, from the Zelda Awards, which celebrates women in comics. It's in the category of +10 years in the biz, so thank you to everyone who voted for me! Congratulations to all the winners too! Watch the ceremony on Youtube. Meanwhile, "The Dreaming" v1-2 has also been listed on the NSW Premier Reading Challenge list! These lists are screened and once you get on, you don't go off, so hopefully I use get onto the reading lists of other states too.
INTERVIEW: Australian Comics History website FOLIO has an 8-part interview with me, talking about the history of the Manga fandom in Australia.
THE DREAMING: Buy "The Dreaming" v1-3 in print/ebook, via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Global Comix. Covers and revisions are here.
Awards: 2024 ALIA Graphic Notables List - YA Category, NSW Premier Reading Challenge list (vol1-2)
FREE READING: A short mystery story "The Mystery Cases of Sister Holmes" (67p) on Viz
“Ms Sherryford & Father Watson” is a mystery-themed yonkoma (4-panel) comic strip that revolves around characters from my Viz one-shot “The Mystery Cases of Sister Holmes“.
In this evolution, the main character is no longer the nun “Sister Holmes”, but “Ms Sherryford” (a sleuth and member of the Third Order), which gives her the Sherlock hat. Father Watson remains the same.

Hi all, I’m going to be doing my first “Read to Me“, which is a live-reading comics event where comic creators present their comics to live audiences by reading
It’s going to be on Tuesday 9th December 2025 @ 7:30pm, at Knox St Bar (near Central station in Sydney), and I’m going to be doing an extended version of my “The Chinese Goddess of Luck Doesn’t Exist” strip, which I posted on my Instagram on a whim 2 weeks ago.

As for what the extended strip is about, here is the LOL-short version. The actual version is about 45-panels long, versus the 5-panel long one I originally posted.

Here is the original 5-panel comic I posted on instagram. It got a lot of likes and compliments, so I’m reposting it here.

Hi all! I’ve been doing some more postings on Instagram and X in order to grow these accounts a bit and document more of my artistic processes. So here are some artwork I’ve been doing in order to get back into drawing manga more.
Most of these are character designs from the upcoming “Sunset Protocol“, which is a 2-volume, self-contained manga story I’m currently scripting. This is a supernatural mystery-thriller manga set in the same location as “The Dreaming” v1-3, and involves Jeanie from that series as a side-character (she is now 27, as it’s 13 years later).
I’ve scripted 9 out of 12 chapters, hopefully done in the next few months, so I’m looking to drop more character art soon.
