Hey all! Book 2 is out now, and available on Amazon and Lulu. You can also get the Amazon Kindle version – check out my store for more details!
Book 2 is 226 pages long, black & white, and has chapters 8-14 in it.
For those who are wondering about the cover change, it’s because I got both the books professionally proof-read and copy-edited. The intention is to provide a more professional product, which I think is necessary. Quality control is important, and spelling/grammar errors, while impossible to completely eliminate through editing, should be kept in check as much as possible.
FK2back
This is the back cover of book 2. It's a lot like book 1 - I like the darker green better than the original pure black.
FK2cover
This is the cover of book 2, a cover that underwent a bunch of design changes since I deemed the original a little too busy. I think this is a cleaner design, and I prefer the black roses at the bottom too.
FKbook1
One of the first few pages from Chapter 8. I like this very much - it's of the inside of the Rose Keep (the entrance anyway).
FKbook2
Here's a little further on, when they're talking in the palace barracks after a hectic day at the Tandia markets.
FKbook3
Includes a picture of the doors to the queen's bedroom. Rather heavily guarded...
FKbook4
At the marketplace again, though coming back when the queen has fantastic news. Or so it seems, anyway...
FKbook5
A feast! It would have gone well too, if someone didn't get made an example of. That first picture of the feast took me ages to draw!
FKbook6
Back in the good ol' spooky forests again. There's no shortage of forests in fairytale-inspired stories, and this is not different!
FKbook7
BOOM! This panel took ages to draw, but it's one of my favourites. Quite a tense moment.
FKbook8
Coming back into town, and straight to the barracks. This is a shot of Tandia's city gates, as in book 1, but from the other side of the gates.
FKbook9
THIS took ages to draw. Nice to see that Dittany's dark skin tones turned out well - Dittany's supposed to be ebony-black, but she can't be too dark here because then her facial features will get completely obscured. Same for Erasmus (to her right).

Latest News: I’m now halfway through writing Chapter 15 – I’m hoping to get it done by the end of November so I can start drawing it in December. I’ve also been exploring IngramSpark as a publishing platform lately, and is looking to create a startup to explore print-on-demand and bookstores. More on that in December, but hopefully book3 will be speedy!
