Queenie Chan was born in Hong Kong, and migrated to Australia when she was six years old. Her first published work was a 3-volume mystery-horror series called “The Dreaming” for LA-based manga publisher TOKYOPOP. To date, it has been translated into multiple languages, and re-issued in a new, revised edition in 2024.
She has since collaborated on several graphic novels with best-selling author Dean Koontz and Kylie Chan, and also her own works such as fairy-tale inspired fantasy series called “Fabled Kingdom”, and a series of biographical comics on famous historical queens called “Women Who Were Kings”. She has a PhD on Comic Studies from Macquarie University.
Currently, she is working on the next book in “The Dreaming” series, and some short stories with US publisher Viz.
